Beckham Gets Red Card For Tripping

Everyone seemed shocked to see the invincible David Beckham thrown off of the team during a match against the Seattle Sounders last night. Beckham slid into Sounders midfielder Peter Vagenas while trying to reach the ball. He apparently hooked his right ankle onto Vagenas who inadvertently bringing him down to the ground. Seeing the incident as deliberate referee Ricardo Salazar threw down the red card. Meaning that Beckham had to leave the game, and miss his next game against Chicago.

The LA Galaxy have been having a rough few weeks and now with Beckham gone and Landon Donovan still recovering from his recent stint with the H1N1 flu some are wondering when this Galaxy dream team will emerge? For those of you who are interested this is the first time David Beckham has been red carded in his MLS career.

What does everyone think. Was the red card uncalled for?
