David Beckham played his first game with AC Milan against Roma. The two Italian teams faced off with the MLS star on loan from the LA Galaxy. While there
Not to sound like a broken record but I believe it’s very possible Beckham will return to the MLS unsatisfied with the state of things there. I was upset with Anaheim when I went there after their NHL team won the Stanley Cup. Most people could care less. That’s just how it is. LA couldn’t care less about soccer. The MLS would have to change the rules of the game to make it more appealing to American spectators. Do I like the idea, no, but what other choice do they have. If people don’t get excited having Beckham on their team than nothing will.
If I were David I would spend the rest of my career somewhere where I’d be appreciated.
