Brazil Secures Final Spot In Beijing Olympics

The national women’s soccer team of Brazil just secured their spot in the 2008 Beijing Olympic games with their stunning 5-1 win over Ghana. The came in second in the Women’s World Cup last year.

From the beginning of the match, the Brazilian team, who took the silver at the 2007 women’s World Cup, poked at Ghana’s defence with a series of attacks. At the 19th minute, Brazilian forward Marta, one of the team’s main forces, broke through Ghana’s gate to score the first point of the match.

In some shocking news Canada has also made it into the Olympics.
