Columbus Beat New York 3-1 In 2008 MLS Cup Win

Columbus Crew - MLS Cup 2008

The Columbus Crew beat the New York Red Bulls 3-1 at the Home Depot Center in Los Angeles. This is the first time Columbus has won the Cup since the creation of the MLS in 1996. Alejandro Moreno made the first goal of the game in favour of Columbus but was matched for a tie in the second-half. Columbus then decisively ended the game adding two more goals by Chad Marshall and Frankie Hejduk.

  1. Congratulations Columbus Crew for their triumph in MLS Cup 2008. No doubt, they played really very well throughout the season and I think, they deserved the title more than any other club this season.
