They said they were going to curb soccer violence, but are they doing enough? Four Manchester United fans went looking for trouble when they went to a Manchester/Roma game in Italy. They clashed with Roma fans who were celebrating a win during the after game celebration. Kyle Dillon and Richard Wimmer, were arrested and sentenced to 30 months, and the other two, Nicholas Lucas and Michael Burk, were sentenced to 29 months. The Italian courts. The charges were resisting arrest and assault.
Public safety should be priority number one at soccer games. The integrity of the game will be damaged if this fan violence is allowed to continue.
