France vs Colombia soccer game June 3, 2008
France played a friendly game of soccer against Colombia in prep for the European Championships yesterday June 3, 2008 at the Stade de France in Saint-Denis. Huge crowds turned out to watch the game and support Les Bleus. France ended up wining the game 1-0 despite missing many scoring chances.

SAINT-DENIS, France — Franck Ribery converted a first-half penalty and France beat Colombia 1-0 on Tuesday, in its final warm-up match before heading to the European Championship.

Ribery sent goalkeeper Agustin Julio the wrong way in the 24th minute after Thierry Henry was fouled, but France was very wasteful in front of goal at Stade de France.

As in the previous two friendlies, Les Bleus missed several good chances, with Karim Benzema failing to finish in the 59th minute after creating space to close on goal unmarked from the halfway line.
