Iraq’s Tardiness Forgiven By Olympic Committee

The Olympic Committee have forgiven Iraq and are allowing them to participate in the Summer Games in Beijing. They were originally banned from the Summer Olympics because an official review board decided that the Iraqi government was meddling in the Olympians affairs. They had to respect the terms before a set due date. But that time passed and Iraq was subsequently banned from the games. But now that ban has been lifted for no doubt, sympathetic reason. Iraq are the current title winners of the Asia Soccer Championships.

  1. It is very pleasing to hear that Iraq will be allowed to play in Summer Olympics Games, because they played really well in the last year’s Asia Cup. Despite being a war-torn country, they produced much of quality football to lift the trophy.
