Liverpool Club Playing In America

December 21, 2007 by Jyle Dupuis
Filed under N. America - Major League, News

LFC crest Not sure if this one is official but it seems that the Liverpool Football Club will be taking a friendly match tour of the United States and Canada football clubs.

The buzz is that they will be playing against he Major League Soccer All-Star Finalists. The match should be in Toronto sometime in July, so keep an ear open for that. Other games may be planned against Montreal.

It seems at the minute that a whole host of English top-flight teams are making the trip out to the States an annual affair, first of all Man Utd arranged a tour three years back then after that it was Chelsea and it seems as though Liverpool are about to try to break the American market and with their American owners knowledge they could well pull it off.
Arsenal on the other hand are apparently looking to the Middle East to dominate but could find that to be a more difficult task as United are already years ahead on that Continent.
