Manchester City played Newcastle United on October 20th and tied the game at 2 at St. James’ Park. Newcastle led 2-1 before City player, Stephen Ireland scored a goal with four minutes left in the match. Joe Kinear, Newcastle manager, was extremely disappointed that he was denied a first win as the team’s boss.

He says, “I was heartbroken when they equalised. I was saying a few Hail Marys on the touchline, hoping they wouldn’t score and that we would come away with maximum points. But I’m also pleased by how well we battled with 10 men against a very good team in Manchester City.”
