Gigi Becali, aged 50, Romainian Steaua Bucharestowner was arrested for charges of kidnapping early Friday morning in Bucharest, Romania. The charges, kidnapping!
Becali, one of the richest men in Romania, stated that three men stole his Mercedes earlier this year and were blackmailing him for a undisclosed amount. They said that if he didn’t pay they would incriminate him. Well from there Becali allegedly found and attacked the three men with a gang of acquaintances who then tied them up, put them in the trunk of a car and left them to be found by police out in the middle of no-where.
Sounds fishy to me. Fans have been protesting all night for the release of Becali who is serving a minimum of 29 days in jail as lawyers to the judge that he poses an immediate threat. Becali is no stranger to the law. Back in 2006 he was charged by the Romanian football federation (FRF) 4,900 dollars for insulting behaviour and xenophobia. He fired the head coach of Steaua Bucharest because he was a Muslim, stating that he was bring bad luck to his majority Christian team.
