Canada Team captain Paul Stalteri is heading back to Germany. Stalteri has now left Tottenham of the Premier League for Borussia Monchengladbach of Germany’s Bundesliga to begin the season starting January 1, 2009. The fullback was with the Werder Bremen of Germany back in 2005 and now he’s back there again.

I kinna wish that all of Canada’s best soccer players come back to North America to help build up the MLS, but I guess you gotta do what you gotta do.

  1. I think, it was good decision taken by Paul Stalteri to move to Germany where he saw his best ever club football success while playing for Werder Bremen. He is now 31, so he may not be at the peak of his career at this moment. So, signing a contract with Borussia Monchengladbach was the right decision for Stalteri.
