Paulista Championship Cup Up In Flames

Whoever though to combine paper streamers with fireworks should be fired, literally! After winning the Paulista Championship, the Corinthians celebrated by torching their team captain William.
Celebrations go up in flames at Brazillian Paulista Championship.
After forcing a draw between them and Santos on Sunday, May 3, 2009, the Corinthians clenched the coveted Brazilian Cup. To celebrate the victory. William and other executives from the team hoisted up the cup on a cherry-picker. Will fireworks, flares, and everything else explosive going off sparks caught the paper streamers that quickly lit aflame. No one was hurt in the incident and the fire was quickly put out.
Thank goodness. It’s always terrible when a celebration ends in a disaster. Take a look at the video below.
