600px-Flag_of_Portugal_svg Portugal announced that they every intention on bidding for a chance to how the world biggest even, the FIFA 2018 World Cup. Neighbouring country, Spain is already in the running’s and has thus far been the favourable choice. Spain hosted the World Cup in 1982.

Portugal is a great country that needs a little boost in tourism. Plus I just like rooting for the underdogs.

i’m glad to read this. portugal is a great football nation with a lot of talented youngsters. they also did a great job hosting Euro 2004. i agree that portugal need to boost their tourism. football is a perfect way to do this.

  2. No chance my friend! It has got to be England’s turn to host the World Cup! We lost out to Germany in 2006! That means by 2018 it will 52 years since our 1966 glory since we hosted one! True we had Euro 96 but Portugal have only recently had the Euro Championships! Football has got to come home!
