This rare picture was taken of Cristiano Ronaldo’s id card back when he played in the football association in Funchal, Portugal in 1994. That would have made Cristiano about 9 years old at the time. Who knew he was going to grow up to be the super-star he is today.
What this image lays out for me is the importance of laying the foundation of soccer in young players. Give them a place to train and perfect their skills. And above all allow them to continue to play throughout their school years.
