Ronaldo nearly missed disaster after crashing his Ferrari into a roadside barrier in Manchester City this Thursday morning (January 8, 2008).
The accident took place near the airport when he was returning to prepare for the new season. No one expected him to make practice that morning, but he was there, willing to prove there was nothing wrong with him.
Those new Ferrari’s must have amazing airbags or something cause reporters said the car was a mess but the Ronaldo didn’t even sustain any substantial injuries.

Manchester United lost many of its star in Munich Air Desaster way back in 1950’s. Thanks GOD that Ronaldo did not face the same fate that many of United stars encountered about 50 years ago.
Cristiano Ronaldo, the much maligned Manchester United maestro, survived a tunnel crash today. He was not to be afforded the status of another Lady Di. There would be no immediate increase in flower sales among Manchester florists . But eyewitnesses are reporting a small Ford Cortina with a Scottish license plate was seen swerving in front of Ronaldo’s Ferrari immediately before the crash. The driver was described as an old man in a black wool coat. Police intercepted a mobile phone transmission from the Cortina shortly after the crash. They have just released the voice of a man with a slight Glaswegian lisp, saying, “Is that Ferrari for Real?” Manchester United manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, relaxing on a freezing beach in Aberdeen, had no comment on Ronaldo’s unlucky escape.
