Should The MLS Be Worried About Beckham?

Should the MLS (Major Soccer League) be worried about David Beckham? Beckham has been on loan to AC Milan to kick off its season in Dubai. Sounded like a good idea at the time. Beckham wanted to be in crisper shape so that he’d stand a chance to be selected for the English team for the World Cup that starts soon. What this all says to fans of the LA Galaxy is that he’s better than the team and the league. But he didn’t prove it. He didn’t stand out as a better player than anyone else in the league.
The Canadian Press seems to think that Beckham is looking at his options as his loan to AC Milan comes to an end. Is money worth loosing game? For him it might be too high a price to pay. For one I think he should go. The MLS cannot afford to play the international dollars they fork out to their players. If that’s the direction we need to head to grow soccer in North American than to me it’s not worth it.
Reinvent MLS Soccer. Americans/Canadians love to see physical games; We hate fakers; Make it higher scoring; smaller fields; affordable tickets. This is what’s going to make soccer more appealing to fans. Not high budget publicity stunts.
