Sierra Leone Welcomes David Beckham

Sierra Leone has been recovering from a brutal civil war that left the nation crippled. Malaria, orphaned children and other social disorders plague the small African nation. David Beckham, who has been an ambassador for the United Nations since 2005, took a visit to survey the efforts made to alleviate their problems.
Sierra Leone was the country depicted in the film "Blood Diamond."
