FOOTBALL - EURO 2008 - 1/4 FINAL - SPAIN v ITALY - 22/06/2008 -SIMONE PERROTTA (ITA) / MARCOS SENNA (SPA)

Spain defeated Italy 4-2 in penalty kicks after a stale mate went into overtime. Both Spain and Italy worked their best to clench the chance at being Euro 2008’s Group D winner.     this was a victory for football. Spain tried to play football, the Italians tried to stop football being played. In a world of robotic efficiency this was a blessed victory for passion, Spain play with heart. glad to see the back of the Italians, viva Espana
