Stadium May Halt Ottawa MLS Bid

Major League Soccer commissioner Don Garber and president Mark Abbott were in Ottawa, Canada to discuss plans for creating a club there. They are strongly considering Ottawa’s bid to create a MLS Club but has told reporters that they will have to put together a better stadium. Eugene Melnyk, who would be the part owner of the team is now pleading with the government to help pay for a $110 million soccer specific stadium.
With the economy the way it is I have a hard time seeing the government of Ontario forking out that much money to a club that may or may not make any money. Montreal on the other hand already has a stadium, but are being overlooked in the bid.
