Swine Flu Closes Stadiums: Games Resume

The recent swine flu scare has been weighing heavy on everyone’s minds lately. People have been advised to avoid public places if possible and stay indoors. For the people of Mexico City this head has been taken very seriously.

As a precaution to the spread of the flu virus officials of the Mexican First Division have decided that this weekend games will be played without fans. Already last weekend, three games were played behind closed doors. Members of the Concacaf office have also announced that they will be postponing its beach soccer championship games that are supposed to take place on Wednesday in Puerto Vallarta.
