Toronto FC Loses Hope For MLS Cup

Well it looks as if the Toronto FC won’t be getting a jab at the MLS Cup this year. At least not after their performance against the Chicago Fire. Chicago’s Brian McBride put a late 78th minute goal past the defense and into the opposing Toronto net. Chicago seems to be having everything go for them these days.
President Barack Obama will be flying to Europe to meet with the Olympic Committee to help petition Chicago’s bit for the 2016 Summer Olympic Games. Personally having so many games held in North America in recent years might play against their bid. …read more
Obama The American Soccer Dad

Not sure what the big deal is. I mean US President Barack Obama might be the commander in chief but he can also be a regulate soccer dad too.
After naming a new U.S. Ambassador to China, Obama jumped into his bullet-proof Silverado and skipped out to his daughters soccer game. Some may think that a president should just do president work all day long but come on, how much of that can anyone take. Besides, skipping out for a few hours is hardly worthy of criticism. Bush promptly went on vacation after winning the election.

Barack Obama Petitions to Host 2018/22 World Cup

On May 8, 2009 United States President Barack Obama sat down with the Univision Media. Towards the end of the interview he asked Obama if he supported a US host of the 2018/2022 FIFA World Cup Games. Obama said that wrote a letter to FIFA in hopes that they would consider their bid to host the world’s largest sporting event in the United States. He also said that he hoped that one day America would embrace the sport to a level comparable to the rest of the world.
