Bordeaux Takes Lead In French League

In France’s Ligue 1 the defending Bordeaux F.C. champions fought to retake the lead in their division. It was a special game for the Bordeaux Girondins after defeating Les Mans 3-0 to retake the one point lead over Monaco. Also in the league Lyon lost to Nice 4-1.

Bordeaux Girondins Defeat Montreal Impact

The Bordeaux Girondins were in Montreal to play the En avant Guingamp Club for the Champions Trophy on Saturday, July 25. I guess they decided that since they were there anyways they’d play the Montreal Impact.
The two teams faced off yesterday at the Saputo Stadium and resulted in a not surprising Bordeaux 2-1 victory. The friendly match is a good sign that the Impact are serious about joining the MLS.
