Mutu used to play for Chelsea back in 2003 but was suspended after he tested positive for cocaine. The positive drug test got Mutu suspended for 17 months but was subsequently fired. Not to remain stagnant, Mutus signed for Juventus as a free agent. After being sold from that club for $12 million he received a little trouble from Chelsea who claimed that he wasn’t theirs to sell. After the drug incident Chelsea lost out on the $17 million they paid for Mutu and barely received any play time out of him.

The business of soccer sucks. I still think that they should pay these players less, might save allot of people unnecessary headaches. The real troubles though lie with Mutu who has said that the lawsuit would bankrupt him.

He just refused signing a new five year contract with Man. United stating that he would be better appreciated elsewhere. Where does elsewhere mean, well has expressed a desire to remain in England and play for either Chelsea or Manchester City.

Ashley Cole of Chelsea was thrown into the tank (jail) for three hours Wednesday morning after swearing at police outside of a west London nightclub. Cole was obviously intoxicated and police said that his display of public drunkenness warranted a sobering up in the slammer and a fine of 80 pounds.

Cole (28yrs) is said to make 80,000 pounds a week with Chelsea so I don’t think he will be hurting financially over this incident. The real damage is his reputation in the club.

Manchester United might have been the preferred team going in but to be set back three goals was embarrassing. Now with Chelsea safely out of the way Man. United are expected to take the league title home with them again.
