Canada Loses, USA Continues Gold Cup Run

The CONCACAF Gold Cup quarterfinals are being held in Philadelphia this year and it just seemed like the magic left the Canadian team. On Saturday they played against Honduras and lost 1-0. USA continued in a spectacular match that left Panama wondering what happened.
The USA will now advance to the semifinals rounds that will be held in the great city of Chicago. The crows are expected to supersede the over 30,000 fans who showed up at the Philadelphia match.

Canada Takes Group A Lead in Gold Cup

It was a proud moment for Canadian soccer fans when they took the Group A lead after a 2:2 tie with Costa Rica July 10th, 2009. The CONCACAF Gold Cup match bests the soccer skills of North and Central American Countries (basically N.America).

The Canadian national team will not head to Philidelphia where they will play in the Gold Cup quarter-finals that will take place next week. 2009 Gold Cup Will Be Hosted In US

It was announced on Monday that 13 United States cities will play partial host to the 2009 Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) Gold Cup.
“The regional tourney opens at The Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif. on July 3 and ends on the other side of the country on July 26 at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, N.Y. In between, fans can witness matches in Columbus, Ohio, Phoenix, Ariz., Philadelphia, Pa., Washington, D.C., Dallas, Texas, Chicago, Ill., Seattle, Wash., Oakland, Calif., Houston, Texas, Miami, Fla., and Foxborough, Mass.”
