In Beckham’s contract he give priority to all England games except in the event of a MLS playoff. Not sure why missing this game with England is such a big deal. England’s game is just a friendly against Brazil. The two teams will face each other in Qatar.

Montreal, who are currently apart of the USL have been trying to become a MLS fanchise but lost to the Vancouver Whitecaps for the 2011 season. Montreal Impact’s managers were also weary of the $40 million franchise fee they were being asked to pay if selected. That price has since been dropped to $35 million as it was seen as being biasly unfair.

With players getting some of the highest paid sports contracts in the world only clubs with deep pockets are able to compete.

UEFA President Michel Platini voices concern over player pay inflation.

If you’re not a club that can spend like Manchester United or Real Madrid you may as well not even try to compete. And where is all of this money coming from? Well European soccer has just been hit by a wave of Middle Eastern investors who stumbled on excess cash after the oil boom. This at the same time when western industries went down and under. With ING pulling out sponsorship with Man. United someone has to fill the void, right?

Well that’s not all. Higher prices and decreased funding means that allot of clubs are turning to loans to help pay the inflating prices for good players. What this mean in the long run is that fewer clubs will be able to compete at all and will have to fold.

Interesting that soccer has kind of become a game of Monopoly. And, like Monopoly soon there will be no one else to play with on the board and it’s Game Over!

Special rates have been fixed for local residents who wouldn’t otherwise be able to afford the tickets.

Not only is the U.S. leading in ticket sales but also in broadcasting rights. Again where is this money coming from? Does ESPN really believe that they will be able to make a profit selling World Cup games to an American audience. Well maybe they know something we don’t.

Any athlete knows that their time in the big league is short. I’m sure Davis Beckham to believed that he was nearing the end of his career before his AC Milan doctors fully examined his physical condition.

England seems to have the most to gain from this good news as they believe if all goes well, Beckham will be able to represent his country in the FIFA World Cup games in Brazil 2014.

The doctors explained how they have modified Beckham’s regime to make sure that he has the longest career possible.

These tips by the way are a good idea for anyone who wants to be in peak physical condition longer.

EYES: Laser treatment to ensure perfect eyesight.

BRAIN: Sessions with psychologists and neurological analysis, to improve mental and emotional health.

TEETH: Dental health is vital.

HEART: Fitness tests and workouts tailored to the individual’s needs.

DIET: Cereal, fruit, fish for dinner, daily intake of vitamin supplements.

SPINE: Chirpractors study posture, how a player runs and jumps, to predict injury risk.

MUSCLES: Examined ofteb so players avoid over-exercising the strongest and focus on the weakest.

FEET: Sprinting over short distances is the priority.

Ashley Cole of Chelsea was thrown into the tank (jail) for three hours Wednesday morning after swearing at police outside of a west London nightclub. Cole was obviously intoxicated and police said that his display of public drunkenness warranted a sobering up in the slammer and a fine of 80 pounds.

Cole (28yrs) is said to make 80,000 pounds a week with Chelsea so I don’t think he will be hurting financially over this incident. The real damage is his reputation in the club.
