It seems that ever since FIFA decided that the 2010 World Cup was to be held in South Africa, they have worried about every possible problem. They have had to prepare a back-up plans for everything, from stadium construction to hotel accommodation and now even electrical consumption.
Electricity company Eskom of South Africa has promised that they will be able to provide enough electricity to the host cities. The World Cup attracts allot of people and they will undoubtedly see a surge in power consumption. Milutinovic Takes Over As Iraqi Head Coach

Bora Milutinovic has officially signed the contract making him the new head coach of the Iraq National Soccer team. The signing ceremony was held in Baghdad despite recent violent spurts in the region.
Milutinovic assured the team that he was not intimidated by the current situation in Iraq and was eager to get started with the team. I don’t know, Milutinovic seems like a brave guy but even he should know that as an outsider he could be made a target if not properly guarded. David Beckham on Team England 2010!

David Beckham got his wish – he’s playing for England’s National team. The only reason why Beckham went to play for AC Milan was because he wanted to prove that he was still good enough to play for his home country in the World Cup.
Beckham met up with other team England players at the London Colney, Hertfordshire stadium for a quick practice session March 24, 2009. England will be playing their first World Cup qualifying round against Slovakia on Saturday, March 28.
