Team Canada Drawn Into Group E

Canada’s National Women’s Soccer team have officially been drawn into Group E for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. This means that Canada will be facing Argentina, Sweden and China. Canada have been scheduled to play against Argentina on August 6, China on August 9 and Sweden on August 12.

With a second-place finish within CONCACAF, Canada qualified for the Olympics for the first time in 24 years and for the first time in its women’s program history. The 2008 Women’s Olympic Football Tournament runs 6-23 August in Beijing.
