French player Thierry Henry might join Beckham in MLS heavy hitters. The newly developed Seattle team plans on acquiring the French sensation in a multi-million dollar contract that could rival David Beckham’s current salary.
Paul Allen will tempt Henry with a deal worth $300,000 a week. Henry, 30, only joined Barcelona in a $32 million move from Arsenal last June. But the Spanish giants are planning a summer clear-out after slumping to third place in La Liga. And Henry could go despite having more than three years left on his $256,000-a-week deal.
Is the MLS making money off of these big soccer players? Because it just seems that they are more concerned about paying more for big international players than paying proper salaries to the young Americans. I mean $17,000 is below minimum wage. Most players have to suppliment their income just to keep their playing dreams alive.

Henry and Beckham together? Watch out!
Personally I don’t think Henry will quit playing in Europe just yet as I feel he will think he still has plenty to offer a top club for several more seasons if he does leave Barcelona. I believe Beckham quit European football too hastily. He still had plenty to offer but jumped too quickly after being dropped as England captain.
I think Henry’s move to MLS would a goog and calculated idea.He has’nt been himself for the last two season…in a Barca he has been nothing but a shadoe of his best self.On top he has lost much of his pace which is most vital asset in his style of play.MLS is becoming tough, its speed and physicaly approach to the game should be a worry to Henry should he move.I would suggest he moves to Ac milan maybe they may reinvigourate him a little bit.
