First National Bank, the official South African bank of the 2010 World Cup will be giving away 16,000 tickets to the matches. The announcement came today in a press conference in Johannesburg, by the CEO of First National Bank, Michael Jordaan. Tickets have already been given away through a bank staff lottery.

The ticket giveaway is part of a larger promotional scheme to “bring the games to the people.” By bringing a stir in South Africa, they are helping people realize that in under 1000 days the worlds biggest sporting event will be in their backyard.

‘FIFA 08′ was released this month for XBox 360 and PlayStation 3. The game has some exciting new features with more realistic animation.
