Brazil earned themselves the title of Beach Soccer World Cup Champions in Marseille, France today in a stunning victory over Italy. Brazil dominated with a two point lead, ending the game 5:3. Congratulations Brazil!

FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Update

ful406117001 26022 sq mediumThe FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil is coming to a close in deciding its quarter finalists. The United States didn’t help their situation by losing 6-5 to Portugal today, who now have a secure spot in the quarter-finals Group B.

In other games, Spain lost to Iran 5-4, Brazil eliminated Russia 5-4 on penalties to win a spot in Group A. Mexico is keeping alive in eight position after their 6-3 win over the Solomon Islands.

Nigeria and Senegal are also in the quarter finals. Italy, Uruguay, Japan, Argentina and France are all fighting for the last two spots.

Argentina Stays Alive in Beach Soccer World Cup

ai 05 mex bra oscar gonzales celebrates goal 25736 sq mediumArgentina beat the United Arab Emirates 4-2 in the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup. The game seemed like a one man show as Federico Hilaire scored a pair of goals for Argentina.

In other Group D games, Nigeria beat France 3-2 on penalties after a 3-3 draw in regulation. Nigeria’s win secures them a spot in the quarter-finals but France and Argentina now have to duke it out when they meet Wednesday.

In Group C, Senegal beat Uruguay 5-2 to win its second straight match and secure their quarter-final round.

Also, Italy defeated Japan 6-3 with three Italian goals coming from Roberto Pasquali.
