Fuel cells. Once a dream found in cartoons and sci fi movies, they are coming mainstream now and everyone is rushing to get in the bucks. Good stuff. Let’s hope battery technology will keep up faster now than the CPU Processor Technology. They’ve been lagging too far behind for too long now. Its ridiculous when I get to type on my laptop for only 4 hours when my flight is 13 hours from Kuala Lumpur to Netherlands and the movies on my KLM flight gets boring even with 12 channels to surf on.
Antig Technology and AVC Corporation will show their production-ready fuel-cell unit for notebooks next week at CeBit. It seems like we’re finally getting closer to extending our laptop battery lives. The Taiwanese companies are saying that the fuel cell is about the size of a CD-ROM, and will replace the media bay to provide up to eight hours of extra power.

Is that a prototype? quite bulky oh…
This is the one thing that all us note book users have been waiting for, lets hope that it is out soon
