ASUS U6 notebook series launches in USA

The Christmas holiday is just around the corner and I wanted to tell you all about the new notebook series from ASUS has launched in the U.S. Designed for the business traveler, the U6 notebook series combines style with performance with glossy, high-shine covers, genuine leather, the latest graphics and processing technology and advanced personal security features. Based on the latest Intel Centrino Duo processor technology, the new Asus U6 series boasts a dedicated graphics engine (DGE), SmartLogon face recognition technology, and Trusted Platform Module (TPM) data encryption.

Other key features include a special LED backlight panel that is half the width of and 1/3 lighter than the traditional LCD panel, a built-in webcam, fingerprint authentication, and ASUS CopyProtect that prevents unauthorized reproduction of data stored on the local hard drive. It sounds pretty complete though I did wish it would come with a notebook cooling pad, but you can’t have everything sometimes.

The Asus U6S comes in a mocha brown (sounds hungry) high-shine cover and is $1,799 USD while the stunning white U6E is $1,749 USD.
