Aura BluNote Bluetooth Speakers Retailing for $99

The Aura BluNote is a speaker set that accepts music streams via the Blutooth A2DP format, making it compatible with a wide variety of devices including PCs, laptops, mobiles, gaming consoles, and portable media players. It thankfully comes with a 3.5mm input jack for devices that don’t support Bluetooth.

Make Spracht wants you to know that the BluNote can store up to 8 Bluetooth device profiles, runs on an AC adapter or 4 AA batteries (both are included in the package), promises good audio quality through its Stereo Widening and Bass Boost functionality. On top of that, as a speaker, the BluNote also supports hands-free, conference-type calls when hooked up to a mobile phone.

Just bought the Aura BluNote WS–4010 expecting a hassle free installation. Boy was I in for a surprise. The User (Guide Page 7) discusses “Pairing” and indicates “”When pairing the BlueNote to a Bluetooth device, yo must pair as “speaker” or “wireless speaker”. Do not pair as headset or earphone, as this will affect the sound quality. Your device may list different pairing options: choose the one that most closely fits “speaker”.” The only detection made is Bluetooth Headset! Tried calling the Spracht Customer Service number provided. It went to voice recorder that sounded nothing like a Company automated answering service. It sounded very amateurish. I’ll give them 48-hrs to respond otherwise it’s refund time.
