I feel your pain brother. I just came back from bestbuy after they couldn't fix my beloved Vaio. Top of the line in 2007, they said they have to replace it with "equivalent technology," and the guy said he was doing me a favor by giving me a $700 laptop. We even looked online and found the exact model with the current retail dropped $200 compared to the price I paid. I guess I shouldn't really complain compared to your case. There's no beating Bestbuy...

Hi, I currently work for Best Buy and I too have to admit that this is absolutely ridiculous. There's no possible way that this would happen at my store. All of the computer associates, including myself, are well aware of the vast differences in specifications between the asus eee pc line up and sony's tz series. I mean, for christ's sake, the eee pc isn't even a note book - it's a freakin' net book. I think this is outrageous and would love to know which store is responsible fore such a horrible experience. One or two calls and I'm sure would be ironed out.
