Oh no, they were more like $700-800. Have had them for about 3 years.

I USED to have money to splurge on gadgets. Now I just read and weep. Since I have a wife and baby boy now my gadget buying days are much reduced.

Were the displays below or near $219 when you got them? If so, I’d wonder why Dell didn’t include those features with the S2409W. Just a thought.

Yes. The port replicator for my Dell E6500 has two DVI ports. Vista ultimate on a 3840 pixel wide desktop. These older ones have USB hub and SD/CF/MS card reader which is handy, and I have the Dell Sound Bar too.

Yeah, you’re right. So I guess my last reservation about this display is gone; if I already didn’t have a display, I’d get this in a heartbeat! And you’re saying you use those 2407s in tandem?

Isn’t it petty obvious that depth spec is WITH the base? The display itself is OBVIOUSLY not that thick.

I have two of the “two generations old” Dell 2407’s. They are awesome displays. My laptop won’t drive three displays, so other than upgrading to dual 30’s I don’t think my desktop can get much better!
