The cool thing about HD DVD and BluRay is the security features in it that prevents the disc from being copied to make illegal downloads of the contents. Things are going to change soon as Dan Glickman, the head of MPAA confirms that consumers will be able to make copies of their HD DVD and BluRay – at a price. The copies that you made will be protected by DRM and hopefully this might be the end of content piracy. Just how long this Advanced Access Content System ( AACS ) support for the “managed copies” will stay out of pirate hands is another matter.
