Apples iPhone has yet to hit the shelves yet. However accessory makers are predicting a wave for the purchase of iPhones. Japanese case makers are already rolling out protective cases for iPhone due to be retailed in late June. It features a rubbery prophylactic, see-through hard case and a faux sneaker design. This must be due to the overwhelming sales of iPod with 4000 accessories chalking up sales worth $1 billion a year. Accessories makers must be predicting the same wave of euphoria being generated by iPhone. If things turn out bad, they might be in for a bad year. With all the reviews and anticipation from iPhone, it is hard to see it as not saleable or having meager sales. Traditional mobile makers such as Nokia, Motorola and Samsung has to find a way to challenge them in the market once iPhone is launched. Things are definitely looking great for Apple this year. With several new products which consumer are eagerly anticipating for, its sales are expected to be high. Whatever new accessories for iPhone, this will definitely spur up more and more accessories being manufactured eve n before iPhone is launched.

It’s interesting to observe how much buzz the Apple iPhone is creating.
If the number of iPhone sales bears any correlation to its pre-launch buzz, then accessory manufacturers will be in for a bumper year.
US brand names in the case industry are also jumping on the wagon. http://www.primacases.com for instance, has a very nice selection of iPhone cases, and my friend that works for them told me there are two more models coming out just in time for the release of the device.
