LG KF750 Secret: What’s Hot, What’s Not

p1000370.JPGWe’ve used the LG KF750 Secret, the third model in LG Mobile’s “Black Label” series, has been used for a couple of weeks. Enough to determine what’s hot, and what’s not.

What’s Hot

  • Good looks
  • Compact size goes well with sleek suits and petite handbags
  • Deep feature set
  • The display really is scratch-proof
  • HSDPA-capable
  • Did we say it looks good?
  • Responsive

What’s Not

  • Lacks WiFi (but it’s the only feature lacking though)
  • Camera doesn’t deserve the “5.0 megapixel” label
  • One proprietary port for charger, headphones, and data cable (i.e., you can only do one thing with it at a time)
  • 900 mAh battery = too little portable juice
  • Chrome framing gets scratched easily
  • Loves fingerprints
  • Touch controls more gimmicky than useful

By loading lots of features into a very thin phone, LG has made the Secret value-packed at any price (check out Google Product Search). Yet we can only recommend this phone based on its beautiful exterior.
