Thomson’s First Mobile Set-top Box not only functions as a standard set-top box, but also operates as a portable system for use in the home or elsewhere and as a crystal-clear, personal picture and sound system in cars, city buses and other mobile situations.
Support for integrated Conditional Access, will also enable operators to offer Pay-TV services via a SIM card slot in the future. Thomson’s long-standing experience in the industry and close relationships with its customers also mean that solutions tailored to meet specific operator requirements are possible. The DTI0601 will be available in the UK, Australia, France, Germany and Italy in early 2006.
