No matter whether you are a Ferrari or Lamborghini fan, Acer is going to gear up its next Ferrari’s Laptop with AMD Turion 64 X2 mobile processors and its “racing team” is ready to compete with Asus Lamborghini laptop thats equipped with dual-core Pentium M by Intel. The new Acer Ferrari 5000 and 1000 model is built with a thin and light carbon-fiber casing, 15.4in and 12.1in screen respectively. The best “performance” of both Ferrari models supports the wireless VOIP headset via Bluetooth and a built-in 1.3Megapixel webcam.
It’s wireless LAN-ready for 802.11a/b/g, and has a high-capacity, 160GB hard drive, as well as a choice for users between a DVD super multi-double layer drive or an HD-DVD drive. The Ferrari 1000, which comes with a webcam, is designed for mobility, weighing in at 1.7kg. Both laptops come with Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition or Microsoft Windows Professional x64 Edition installed, as well as Adobe Reader, Norton AntiVirus, and CyberLink PowerDVD and Power Producer.

wah…carbon fiber hood….
should include like 20″ rims (…screen)
this is a great move to use carbon fiber…i like 15.4″ laptop…even better if it is 17″ but the weight makes it not very portable…try carrying a 15.” laptop for a day….running through airport and transportation to another country and you will understand
its ok not great but i wouldn’t buy it.
main coment is…meh!
