Nokia 770 Early Reviews

After my initial report on the Nokia 770 as being a good tablet PC replacement, some have commented that it may not be the case. Personally, I still prefer the Sony U71P ( if I can afford to get one ! ) as its touchscreen handles my fingernails well and there’s no noticeable lag on clicks. I’m getting bored of lugging my heavy DELL Inspiron 8500 around.
Check out the “agonizingly slow” reviews of the Nokia 770 device (June 15) at WifiNetnews and at InformationWeek.
Some comments by InformationWeek :
“In a twist for Nokia, which is the world’s largest manufacturer of cell phones, the 770 connects to the Internet direction only via Wi-Fi; it can’t directly connect over cellular data networks. Customers with a phone equipped with Bluetooth 1.2, however, can connect the 770 to their cell phone via Bluetooth to reach the Internet.”
Well , how inconvenient can you get ? I thought Nokia’s slogan was Connecting People. Maybe it should read “Connecting People Inconveniently”
