While Nokia enjoys some attention over the 5800 and N97, a recent reported leak may signify the future existence of yet another touch-driven device from the Finns.

All we have to work with is a product shot, and the copy “Best in class touch solution enables large volumes and growth. Direct UI simplifies interaction with standard strokes and gestures.” Marketese can be hard to decipher, but my guess is that “large volumes” may actually signify this concept’s orientation toward the affordable mass-market. Or for all we know, the leak may actually represent a new version of Nokia’s nascent touch-interface system.

The yet-to-be-named device (or concept?), if it is one, apparently runs on the same platform as the two aforementioned phones (S60 v5) and features a large display that literally takes up the entire front. The unit’s width seems to disqualify it as a variant of the N97. More details to follow as they become available.
