Nokia feedback touch-screens coming soon

I really can’t wait to see this new Nokia feedback touch-screens on S60 phones. I am meeting some Nokia guys from Finland in KL this month. I hope they bring some phones for us to play, so stay tuned for more news.
Meanwhile, Red Ferret had the chance to test out Nokia’s system (dubbed Haptikos) that allows for a 0.1 mm movement in the screen…just like a real keyboard. Sure some will say it won’t be the same as pulling out a Bluetooth wireless keyboard but who is complaining. One less gadget is equal to one less dead weight.
That, combined with a pair of sensor pads under the screen, supposedly allows it to “mimic exactly the sensation of pressing a real key,” complete with a “clunky click and tactile snap.” What’s more, it seems that the technology isn’t all that far off, with Nokia’s upcoming S60 handset apparently first in line to get it.
