Flexible batteries

Rensselar Polytechnic Institute have developed a new type of battery which is much more flexible than the batteries we have today. The batteries we already have comes in various shapes and sizes; small or big they all have the same rigid format. These new batteries will be foldable. What makes it more interesting is it can be trimmed into any shape desired. The development of the battery span across 18 months and it uses paper infused with electrolyte and carbon nanotubes. Foldable PSP’s might be invented due to this breakthrough. And more interesting will be its use in electronic books with the make and feel which looks exactly the same as ordinary book instead of a block piece of device.

Foldable PSP, maybe cool… what I’d like to see is this technology getting developed to make a completely invisible battery pack in the electric vehicle.
