It is always annoying to dial to the mailbox and listen to lengthy voice mails and even worse, some voice mails don’t even have a peep. SimulScribe is such a brilliant service that it offers an alternative way to handle such hassles. This service makes your life so much easy in that it actually CONVERTS your voice mail into text message and sends them to you. Replies to that voicemail can be done using SMS or Email if the message is from someone in your address book. Though it now works on the BlackBerry Pearl or 8800 only, SimulScribe will roll out for Windows Mobile phones around June.

How accurate is the conversion? I used a software before that converts text sms to voice. However, a lot of people seem to be using a lot of short form which makes the voice reading to be inaccurate. In addition, will it translate differently if there is slight distortion or the background is noisy?
