I’ve been meaning to get a new camera as the picture quality of my Casio S600 compact has been declining. The new Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H3 looks like a good deal since its a compact sized camera with a powerful 10x optical zoom lens and small size to boot.
Showing off photos taken with the camera in full 1080 HD resolution on your HDTV is possible when you buy the VMC-MHC1 high-definition component cable that is sold separately. With the built-in slide show function, you can even view photos with programmed music clips.
Other great specs on this new camera : Carl Zeiss ® 10x optical zoom lens, Face Detection which is the norm nowadays, 2.5-inch LCD screen, Super Steady Shot, high sensitivity (up to ISO 3200), Sony’s Dynamic Range Optimizer for analyzing pics and auto adjustment before JPEG compression.
The Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-H3 camera will ship next month for about $300.
