Sony Ericsson MMR-60 FM Transmitter

There is nothing new with a FM transmitter for MP3 player nowadays, however, have you seen any FM transmitter made for cellphones? Sony Ericsson introduced the new MMR-60 FM transmitter by the end of last month Jan 2006, opening up a way for you to share the music stored on your Walkman phone with the whole world.

Capable of transmitting on FM frequencies at ranges of up to 10 meters, users will be able to control the range of the accessory through menus made available in the handsets used with the Sony Ericsson MMR-60. Weighing in at a light 9 g and measuring 43 x 27 x 11 mm, the transmitter will recall its last used frequency when switched off to avoid users having to reset the desired frequency upon every use.

I love this thing and although it’s not always easy to navigate while on the road, I could’t live without it now. It states a range of ten meters, but it’s more like 10 centemeters, and sometimes it may get static, but it’s still a great product.
