The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 is one of the most exciting Windows Mobile phones and navigation phone since the Blackjack 2 and the i-mate 9502. With a 800×480 pixel display, it is probably going to be the new reference in terms of productivity and entertainment. Users can control it the way they want: Touch screen, joystick or via the elegant Arc slider QWERTY keyboard. Finally, it has WiFi, 3.5G and assisted-GPS – features that will make a big difference, given that web browsing and location based are important application these days.
With Windows Mobile 6.0 Professional installed, the highest data transfer rate (HSDPA/HSUPA) and WiFi support, you can enjoy your favourite entertainment and work efficiently on the move. The aGPS is a great added feature that gives the Nokia N series a run for its money. Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 is a premium mobile experience if you ask me. Now I want to know why would Sony outsource this phone’s manufacturing to HTC??

I really like the unique touch screen look on this Sony QWERTY smartphone.
Craig, I agree. The touch screen looks amazing as well as the ‘desktop’.
This is a really smooth looking phone, I may have to switch from my AT&T Tilt to this phone when it comes out.
