The fourth-generation iPod nano brings Apple’s smaller portable player back to its form factor roots, albeit through a smaller and more feature-laden package. To wit:
The newest iPod nano is oh so slightly thinner than its predecessor, and the displays of both the 3G and 4G variants are actually the same, in terms of size and max brightness. Even for a (mostly) rabid anti-Apple virtual rag like this, credit is due where credit is due, especially since the newest iPod nano is unprecedented for Apple.
You see, by coming out with an iPod nano for every color in the rainbow—as well as in black and white—Apple has pretty much covered every visual base, providing the consumer with a surprisingly wide array of choices (gasp!).
Could this be the beginning of something special over at Cupertino? That’s kinda an exaggeration there, but hope springs eternal, right?
