Ubuntu Linux-Powered laptops from Acer

AcerAccording to some advertisement in Singapore, Acer has started to offer Ubuntu Linux operating system on their laptops. The Ubuntu-powered Acer Aspire 5710z features 15.4-inch widescreen display, 512MB of memory, 80GB of disk space and it runs Intel Pentium dual-core processor. Ubuntu is free of charge and it provides free software such as OpenOffice Suite, image editing applications, multimedia and communications programs. The Ubuntu-powered is retailed at about $659.

    Finally some alternative to MS. I’ve tried Ubunto and I like it. And, with Win4Lin, I can use my old MS compatible stuff while learning something new for FREE!
